Does your family practice their home fire escape plan?

Does everyone in the home know where to meet outside the home in case of a fire?

Can ALL occupants escape from your home without assistance?

Does every bedroom have a second escape route?

Does everyone in your home sleep with the door closed at night?

Is your kitchen at a high risk for a fire or burn injury?

• Do you ever cook while sleepy or not completely alert?
• Do you ever leave the kitchen while something is frying, boiling, grilling, or broiling?
• Do you ever leave oven mitts, towels, or other flammable objects near the stove when in use?
• Do you have a 3’ Kid and Pet Free Zone around the stove when it is in use?
• Do you keep a pan lid or cooking sheet nearby in-case of a grease fire?
• Are young children allowed to use a microwave without adult supervision in your home?
• None of the Above

Are all space heaters or open flames (candles, stove burners, etc) kept at least three feet away from flammable objects?

Do you clean the dryer lint trap out after every use?

After surveying your home, did you find any:

• Overloaded outlets or power strips?
• Any outlets or power strips that were hot to the touch?
• Any electrical cords that were bent or pinched against a wall?
• Any electrical cords that were frayed or curling?
